The application and advantage of Titanium Alloy in medical domain
一、The selection of raw material of Jau products
Raw material of Jau spinal products are all selected from the imported titanium and titanium alloy. We also have a good long relationships with 卡奔特and ATI . Compared with domestic titanium and titanium alloy, the imported ones have a better stability and tenacity, and the strength of extension is much stronger that guarantee the Jau products are more stable and reliable.
二、The application of titanium alloy in medical domain
The titanium alloy in medical domain are mainly used to make implanted medical device of human body、prosthesis or artificial organs and adjuvant therapy device. The main products are Ti-6Al-4V、Ti-5Al-2.5Sn、Ti-6Al-4V Eli and other alloys. They are higher strength and mechanical properties than pure titanium. And also have the characteristics of fatigue resistance, corrosion resistance and good biocompatibility. It is widely used in various artificial joint artificial bone、bone fixed device、denture、dental embedded、fixed bridge etc.
三、the advantage of titanium alloy than other metal material
The human implants of titanium alloy are a special functional material closely related to human life and health. Compared with other metal materials, there are mainly six advantages to use titanium and titanium alloy:
1、lightweight
Titanium and titanium alloy’s density: 4.5g /cm3  that is only 56% of stainless steel when the temperature is 20℃.Implantation has greatly reduced the load of the human body, and as a medical device, it is also reduced the operating load of medical staffs. 
2、low elastic modules
low elastic modules of titanium and titanium alloy: the pure titanium is 10850kg/mm2, only 53% of stainless steel. It is closer to the human bone and is beneficial to the bone graft and can reduce the stress screening effect of bone on the implant. 
3、nonmagnetic
nonmagnetic metals which are not affected by electromagnetic fields and thunderstorm and conductive to the safety of human bodu after using. 
4、nontoxicity
Nontoxicity of titanium and titanium alloy :it has no toxic side effects as implant.
5、resistance to corrosion
Titanium and titanium alloy is called biological inert metal materials which has excellent corrosion resistance to the human body in the blood soaking environment and ensure the good compatibility with human blood and cellular tissue. as the implant, human pollution produce, no allergic reaction take place, it is the basis condition of application of titanium and titanium alloy.
Implants with titanium and titanium alloy surface anodic oxidation coloring processing improve the embedded object in the human body under the condition of abrasive resistance, corrosion resistance and cycle fatigue resistance, and to a great extent, it solves the dissolution problem of metal ions, and enhances the implants intermiscibility. At the same time, it can be used as the identification of different specification products, so as to facilitate operation.
6、High strength and toughness
Due to trauma, tumor and other factors that lead to damage of bone and joint, they must be with the aid of curved plates, screws, artificial bone and joint, etc., to build a solid bone scaffold, these implants which should be high strength and toughness will leave the body for a long time that will be affected by the bending、 torsion、extrusion、contractility of the human body, such as muscle contraction force, require implants with high strength and toughness. The research and clinical examples show that the human body can be used with pure titanium when he bear the small stress, and it can be used with ti-6al-4v alloy when great stress. These implants can fully meet the requirements of human implants.
